The last time I posted something was around 2 to 3 years ago and that was when i was net-stalking Arashi. I’m still a fan, don’t get me wrong, but I find myself tired of joining locked lj communities just to download and watch subbed episodes. Suffice it to say, i won’t be posting much of Arashi anymore.

The reason why I’ve decided to start posting again in this blog is because i wanted to rant about the books i’ve been reading. I’m supposed to be reading Game of Thrones, which i finally found on floating in torrent world, but i got hooked in erotic-romance books. I blame J.Kenner and her Stark trilogy. I haven’t been able to stop looking for and reading erotic-romance books ever since i finished those damn books.

This isn’t the first time i got hooked on romance novels. In highschool i used to read the Tagalog ones, though now i get irritated when i try to because of the english grammar mistakes (grammatical mistakes? Grammar? Great, now i’m confused). I mean, seriously, don’t published writers have editors to check these simple mistakes in grammar? It’s so irritating when you read about a rich and handsome dude who can’t speak proper english because the editors are too lazy to correct them.

Anyhoo, I’ll start any daw now. I’ll probably post a reading list first and if anyone actually stumbles into this post who’s looking for e-books, leave a comment and I’ll see if i have a copy to send you.

Until next time…

First, something unrelated to the post. My sister opened her own blog: Tanya Natazsha.

And now, onto the post!!

About three or four years ago, a sempai of mine introduced me to The Sims, the first one where the people or “sims” never age. It’s a great game, but more than controlling the sims, i liked making the houses.

And then I discovered The Sims 2. It had better graphics, nicer furni, and the sims actually grow older and propagate. Back then there was only the base game, the nightlife expansion and the university expansion. A month after i started playing The Sims 2, I decided to stop. I stopped because I got so addicted to it, i started dreaming of my sims.

Three years later, and here I am again, playing Sims 2 (I would play The Sims 3 I have a feeling my ratty computer would explode if I tried to play it). I blame Jung Yong Hwa,  Seo Joo-Hyun and the show We Got Married. During some episodes the Build/Buy Mode (mode where you build/buy houses/furnitures, duh) would play that I would just craaaave playing it. Eventually I just gave up fighting it and bought new installers for the game, and not just the base game either. Now I’ve got all the expansion packs and stuff packs (I need the Ikea Stuff pack. The one I bought won’t work.)

So now my waking hours are divided into three, playing with my nephew (Kitty gave birth last September 18. How horrible izzit that my youngest sister get to have babies before me -_-“), trying to finish that damn story i promised my friends in Cavite, and playing The Sims 2 or downloading custom items/clothes/etc for it… but mostly playing Sims 2.

The point of this post? Nothing. Just wanted to say I’m playing The Sims 2.

Some demon must’ve possessed me last week. It’s the only explanation. I dunno what happened, one minute I was browsing through sites, looking for new arashi videos I could download, and the next… I had signed up myself with five penpal communities.

Bonkers! I must be completely bonkers! I can’t have penpals! I don’t even know how to write letters to my own friends, much more to people I haven’t met!

But… so far so good. I have about four snail mail penpals and one email penpal. I think I’m doing well with the email one… The only problem is that I get impatient when I don’t have new mail. The snail mail ones… I still haven’t written a single letter to any of them… I better get started this weekend.

On a different note, Nino-chan and Nagasawa Masami broke up? Yes… again. And rumors say it’s because Nino cheated… with who i wonder?

Anyone knows what show this is from?

Five or six days ago, more or less, i discovered Stephen King’s On Writing audio book version in the world of torrents, which I haven’t been to since my internet connection at home went “poof!”  I love audio books, its my new obsession. I got Robert Matheson’s I am Legend, and… well, as of now its all that i have. I couldn’t think of anything else to look for. I am planning to download Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice from Project Gutenberg but I got distracted by seek and find games.

Anyway, Stephen King’s On Writing is an entertaining book and coming from me, with my notorious short attention span, this means something. I thought it was like a text book, like it contained tips on writing from cover to cover but apparently, it was a memoir of Stephen King. Well, I liked it and it got me thinking about writing again.

I think its been almost six months since I tried to finish any of my numerous pending works, partly because I get so distracted by it that I mess up with work even more than I usually do and partly because I got stuck and i didn’t know where any of my stories are going to. And now, because of that one audio book i thought “hey, maybe I can get it going again.”

Well, I can’t.

This is still my fault. I lack the drive to write. I want to but I don’t want to because if I really, really want to I would stop typing this post and get back to writing but I’m not. I keep thinking that I’m sleepy or that I have a lot of videos I haven’t watched and I really want to know what happens next to the latest tv series im obsessed with or that I have a new game I need to test. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

I think it’d be easier to write if my “muses” are here. The original inspiration for the stories I’ve been writing but even if I get to remember what I used to feel when I started writing them, it only last for a moment and then its gone.

So… i thought if I can’t get myself inspired enough to write then I’d read. I got lined up Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol, Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi’s Spiderwick Chronicles (which turns out to be one book divided into five), and the Robert Matheson audio book.

I need suggestions! What do I read next?!

Want a copy of the audio books i mentioned and the ebooks (.PDF) of any of Dan Brown’s books, or the spiderwick chronicles? Leave a message with your email, I’ll try to send them to you.

A ME Update

I haven’t been blogging for some time now. My last blurb about my life was after new year i think. Well, the job thing didn’t work out. My sister Kittie decided to get knocked up so now we need to get them married. I wouldn’t have wanted to get them married (my parents got married because my mom was preggy with me and that ended really, really [insert proper sarcastic word here]) but they wanted to so now they’re getting married and we have to pay for it because the dude isn’t the richest guy out there, actually he’s completely poor there’s no money to his name or his family’s name. Well, there goes my plans for going back to school.

My other sister, Friday, decided to go back to our house, have I said that before? So, when Kittie moved out of our room, Friday, moved in. I’m never having that room to myself.

My internet at the house went ‘kaput’ so I’m back to internet shops. There’s this netcafe that’s near our house which has this sort of a ‘deal’ where you pay P300 for an account and you get to spend only P10 per hour. I could download fine before, play facebook and habbo at the same time but now for some reason MediaFire wont work, so I’m stuck to downloading with MegaUpload which is really slow compared to my downloading from MediaFire.

I’m still into Arashi, mostly because my sisters are still into Arashi. Haiz, I would never underestimate my ability to hook other people with funny and cute boybands again.

I recently found out that Ace had stopped being an Arashi fangirl. She wrote something about a fandm drama but I guess we all have to stop looking at pretty boys on tv eventually and start looking at pretty boys in real life. Me? I’m not ready to give them up. 😀 I would like to fangirl for a little while more.

The “ghost” or whatever in our house came back. We have this “pet” we call it who takes stuff in our kitchen and puts it somewhere else, like “The Borrowers.” I’ve never experienced it though, only my dad and Friday and I think once even Kittie did (they saw my doppelganger several times, they said).. Me, the horror movie, slightly gothic girl, I have no experience with it.

Anyway, our “pet” has developed a talent in opening the stove, and it’s not easy to turn it on too. You have to push it in first and then turn it, it’s a safety issue. Friday already told us about the stove before. She said she passed by the stove once, when she came back it was already on. This week, Kittie texts me from Manila saying I should come home from work at 9am in the morning because Friday was going hysterical. Apparently, she was holding the pan above the stove to cook her breakfast (she was alone in the house) when the stove turned on infront of her. She stepped back and thought maybe she imagined it or maybe she was going crazy but when she realized that the stove was, indeed, open and burning, she turned it off and ran to our room upstairs.

That night, my dad’s airconditioner and fan turned on. The next day my dad said the stove turned on again. The day after that Friday says the fan in her room turned on by itself twice.

I’m not really sure if I believe this. I’ve never experienced this before, usually when I see an appliance open I think, “Oh i forgot to turn it off” so I can’t really relate.

Well, that’s all for now! Ciao!

On January 29, 2010, Tokyograph reported:

NTV has confirmed that popular group Arashi will have a new prime time show starting this spring. Tentatively titled “Arashi ni Shiyagare,” the show will occupy the Saturday 10:00pm time slot left open by “Enta no Kamisama,” which is ending in March.

The program is described as an improvised entertainment variety show. Each episode will feature a guest celebrity, but the members of Arashi will not be told in advance who the guest is nor what the guest will be doing on the show.

It appears that the main segment of the show will have a different guest each week to teach the Arashi members an entertainment skill in various fields, including comedy, rakugo, and kabuki. Called “The Set,” this segment will take place on various “sets,” such as a theater or kabuki stage.

“Arashi ni Shiyagare” premieres in April. Arashi already hosts two other shows during prime time.

NTV announced that the final episode will air on March 22. (Tokyograph 02-06-2010)
