Five or six days ago, more or less, i discovered Stephen King’s On Writing audio book version in the world of torrents, which I haven’t been to since my internet connection at home went “poof!”  I love audio books, its my new obsession. I got Robert Matheson’s I am Legend, and… well, as of now its all that i have. I couldn’t think of anything else to look for. I am planning to download Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice from Project Gutenberg but I got distracted by seek and find games.

Anyway, Stephen King’s On Writing is an entertaining book and coming from me, with my notorious short attention span, this means something. I thought it was like a text book, like it contained tips on writing from cover to cover but apparently, it was a memoir of Stephen King. Well, I liked it and it got me thinking about writing again.

I think its been almost six months since I tried to finish any of my numerous pending works, partly because I get so distracted by it that I mess up with work even more than I usually do and partly because I got stuck and i didn’t know where any of my stories are going to. And now, because of that one audio book i thought “hey, maybe I can get it going again.”

Well, I can’t.

This is still my fault. I lack the drive to write. I want to but I don’t want to because if I really, really want to I would stop typing this post and get back to writing but I’m not. I keep thinking that I’m sleepy or that I have a lot of videos I haven’t watched and I really want to know what happens next to the latest tv series im obsessed with or that I have a new game I need to test. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

I think it’d be easier to write if my “muses” are here. The original inspiration for the stories I’ve been writing but even if I get to remember what I used to feel when I started writing them, it only last for a moment and then its gone.

So… i thought if I can’t get myself inspired enough to write then I’d read. I got lined up Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol, Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi’s Spiderwick Chronicles (which turns out to be one book divided into five), and the Robert Matheson audio book.

I need suggestions! What do I read next?!

Want a copy of the audio books i mentioned and the ebooks (.PDF) of any of Dan Brown’s books, or the spiderwick chronicles? Leave a message with your email, I’ll try to send them to you.
