I haven’t been blogging for some time now. My last blurb about my life was after new year i think. Well, the job thing didn’t work out. My sister Kittie decided to get knocked up so now we need to get them married. I wouldn’t have wanted to get them married (my parents got married because my mom was preggy with me and that ended really, really [insert proper sarcastic word here]) but they wanted to so now they’re getting married and we have to pay for it because the dude isn’t the richest guy out there, actually he’s completely poor there’s no money to his name or his family’s name. Well, there goes my plans for going back to school.

My other sister, Friday, decided to go back to our house, have I said that before? So, when Kittie moved out of our room, Friday, moved in. I’m never having that room to myself.

My internet at the house went ‘kaput’ so I’m back to internet shops. There’s this netcafe that’s near our house which has this sort of a ‘deal’ where you pay P300 for an account and you get to spend only P10 per hour. I could download fine before, play facebook and habbo at the same time but now for some reason MediaFire wont work, so I’m stuck to downloading with MegaUpload which is really slow compared to my downloading from MediaFire.

I’m still into Arashi, mostly because my sisters are still into Arashi. Haiz, I would never underestimate my ability to hook other people with funny and cute boybands again.

I recently found out that Ace had stopped being an Arashi fangirl. She wrote something about a fandm drama but I guess we all have to stop looking at pretty boys on tv eventually and start looking at pretty boys in real life. Me? I’m not ready to give them up. 😀 I would like to fangirl for a little while more.

The “ghost” or whatever in our house came back. We have this “pet” we call it who takes stuff in our kitchen and puts it somewhere else, like “The Borrowers.” I’ve never experienced it though, only my dad and Friday and I think once even Kittie did (they saw my doppelganger several times, they said).. Me, the horror movie, slightly gothic girl, I have no experience with it.

Anyway, our “pet” has developed a talent in opening the stove, and it’s not easy to turn it on too. You have to push it in first and then turn it, it’s a safety issue. Friday already told us about the stove before. She said she passed by the stove once, when she came back it was already on. This week, Kittie texts me from Manila saying I should come home from work at 9am in the morning because Friday was going hysterical. Apparently, she was holding the pan above the stove to cook her breakfast (she was alone in the house) when the stove turned on infront of her. She stepped back and thought maybe she imagined it or maybe she was going crazy but when she realized that the stove was, indeed, open and burning, she turned it off and ran to our room upstairs.

That night, my dad’s airconditioner and fan turned on. The next day my dad said the stove turned on again. The day after that Friday says the fan in her room turned on by itself twice.

I’m not really sure if I believe this. I’ve never experienced this before, usually when I see an appliance open I think, “Oh i forgot to turn it off” so I can’t really relate.

Well, that’s all for now! Ciao!

Say Cheese!!

Like being scared? Try this game: Fatal Frame. So far I’ve only played the third “Fatal Frame: The Tormented” (Zero: Shisei no Koe) but I’m scrounging out the first and second to see how scary it is.

The lead in “Fatal Frame: The Tormented” is Rei Kurosawa (23) is a photographer who’s just lost her boyfriend, Yuu, in a car accident that was her fault. After a photography session in an apparently “haunted” location, Rei started getting recurrent dreams of the mansion she had just been in: “Manor of Sleep”.

Legends tell that the Manor of Sleep was a Shrine for people to offer up their pain which involves a ritual where Shrine Maidens impailed their priestess to the ground. The Manor also appear to be the home of trapped ghosts or souls of people who have lost someone dearly and feeling guilty for their death. Of course, there is more to this plot but you’ll have to figure that out for yourself.

On the… second (?)… night (Hour I), which sort of serves as the tutorial, Rei wakes up(?) inside the Manor. She stumbles upon a few ghosts and one of them hands her a battered old camera called a “Camera Obscura” which can supposedly capture ghosts on film. This camera will serve as her weapon as the only way to get rid of violent ghosts is to capture them in film and possibly give them full blast of the camera’s power, a Fatal Frame. After her first fight right after receiving the camera as if the game is trying to test if it really works, and a cutscene involving a lady repeatedly saying it wasn’t her fault that she survived and a tatooed floating lady who’ll chase Rei through the hallway, she wakes up in her own bed feeling pain as a shadow of a tatoo appears on her shoulder.

And so the restless nights begin.

After a few more Chapters or Hours, you’ll also get to control Miku Hinasaki, Rei’s assistant and hero of the first Fatal Frame; and Kei Amakura, the uncle of Mio and Mayu Amakura, the leads in the second Fatal Frame: “Crimson Butterfly”. Each character you get to control has different abilities (Miku can slow down ghosts with her camera and Kei can… hide.)

I, having absolutely no experience in this kind of game before, did not know what to do when I started it. I knew I needed to get them ghosts in film but on my first few tries I got stuck on the third hour and ended up going around and around the Manor not knowing what to do and made myself dizzy. So, I figured I needed a walkthrough if I wanted to finish the game. Apparently, my mistake was that I did not know that in order to trigger certain events, I needed to take pictures of certain places and objects too, not just the ghosts. But with the walkthrough I got through it fine.

Having the walkthrough, though, does not lessen the creepiness of the game. The walkthrough is not the one controlling Rei or Miku or Kei, it’s you and you are the one who’ll have to make them take those damn pictures as the ghosts swipe at you. It’s like playing a part in a movie and you’re controlling the lead; you know what’ll happen, except when it does your reaction isn’t quite as calm as you expected it to be.

The fun in my playing is that I have Grr to watch me as I play which meant there was always someone screaming along with me when a ghost suddenly materialize out of nowhere. And somehow we always got to play it at night.

Need more description to imagine the game? Watch Himitsu no Arashi-chan episode 23. You know the part when Sho and Aiba were trying to open that damn lock and there was a barrage of ghosts crawling on the floor towards them, like that; only you’re controlling them leads.

I’m bored but it’s already 2 so I can’t travel to my favorite net cafe in town (it’s thirteen kms away) so I’m contenting myself with the fastest net here in my subdivision… still, I can’t download anything, and my mouse is kind of– moody.

So, since nothing is happening with Arashi-aside from Nino’s new dorama, which I probably won’t be able to watch, I’m looking for ghost stories. I don’t know why, I just had the urge to look up ghost stories yesterday when I got the internet working in the office. So, here’s one that I found interesting: the Story of Barton’s Mansion, the most haunted mansion in California.

The mansion was made by Dr. Ben Barton in 1859 using clay dug up from an Indian Cemetery as bricks for the walls. The people advised him against it but he did it anyway. So, after moving into the mansion, Dr. Barton’s two daughters died of mysterious circumstances. Because of this Dr. Barton turned to Satanism to relieve his grief. Paranormal activity were noted after Dr. Barton’s death. The house was abandoned and police found a number of dead bodies in the house.

–Then came the video…

In 2001 a group of teenagers went to Barton Mansion to investigate if it really was haunted. The first time they went they didn’t find anything but a fresh pound of meat in the basement surrounded by rocks and a strange heightening of temperature in the second floor. The next time they went they brought a camera and continued their search in the second floor from where they stopped– here’s the footage: (note: note the last part, it would be very fast because they ran.)

Fake? Maybe, but it’s creepy nevertheless.

The mansion had been turned into an office building and strange stuff still happens according to the workers.

(Information on Barton’s Mansion grabbed from  ScaryForKids; and MySpace: Bartons’ Mansion)

I’ll look for more…

Himitsu no Arashi-Chan episode 23: they go ghost hunting in a haunted inn (?) or at least they said it was haunted. I read the translation on aatash’s page and it looks fun~ nearly an hour of seeing Arashi being scared out of their wits, hah! I am so going to download this episode, i don’t care if it’s not subtitled, I just wanna hear them scream.

… do i sound like a serial killer?
